I recently did an icon for id software’s Wolfenstein RPG iPhone game, and I had to redraw the glyph in vector. Tonight I thought it could make a pretty cool desktop icon too! This was just for fun, hope you enjoy it!

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been creating this printable diorama set. I’ve recreated three walls and the floor of the Stargate SG-1 gate room in print-resolution. These were made from scratch, based on reference photos and screen captures from the show.
All you need to do is print these yourself (or take them to your local printers), and mount them to your board of choice!
Combined with your Stargate action figures, and especially their build-a-gates, you have a complete SGC Gate Room display!
Please make sure to read the included readme file for more information.

My good buddy Alex Nichols has started a fantastic online t-shirt shop with the help of some of the web’s most talented designers. I was fortunate enough to be invited to design shirts for this exciting project, and my first shirt is now available for pre-order. If you feel so inclined to support Take A Tee, myself, and the design community, stop by and pick up some shirts…especially mine!
My first Take A Tee t-shirt design, “Kernel Panic!” (Click for big!)

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Stargate series, from the movies to the show, and the spinoffs alike. I haven’t until now started watching it all in chronological order. I started with SG-1 Season 1, and I plan on watching all the way up to the new series, Stargate Universe. Obviously the Stargate itself is a prominent figure in the show, and it really is a wonderfully designed set piece. As always, I was inspired to create these. Enjoy!

DELETE! DELETE! I’m a tremendous fan of Doctor Who, and I’ve always wanted to create some art based on it. There’s definitely going to be more, but I decided to make my first Who icons the metal monstrosities, the Cybermen! Rivaled only by the Daleks, the Cybermen are pretty much some of the most memorable science fiction robots of all time. Enjoy a classic era set of Cybermen icons!

A few days ago I saw a cool concept sketch by Jonatan Castro for a replacement Spotify icon, and instantly thought it’d make a great actual icon! Since the sketch was created a while ago, I wanted to step in and take his concept to creation. I decided to use Jonas Rask’s beautiful globe as a base, and set out to create a faithful recreation of the original sketch. I think it came out pretty nice! Obviously this can be used for more than Spotify, so have fun with it and enjoy.
